Join Joel Styzens, musician/composer and hearing conservation advocate, for an evening of music, stories, and hearing loss education with area audiologists on hand to showcase new technologies and therapies. Styzens will talk about his journey with tinnitus and hyperacusis as well as provide a preview performance of music from his third (and forthcoming) album ‘Handbird'. Styzens' acoustic, instrumental compositions combine elements of Jazz, Classical, and World music rhythms and voicing. Music will be a mix of acoustic and amplified in order to better accommodate those with hearing disorders - and musicians and music lovers will be encouraged to setup hearing tests and inquire about custom molded earplugs.
