MEET THE ARtists

ATLYS

Born from a prim and proper conservatory chamber music background, barrier breaking string quartet, ATLYS, was formed from a dream to bust through classical concert stereotypes and create a welcoming concert atmosphere for people of all backgrounds. The all female, powerhouse group has created an atlas of cinematic music spanning a variety of genres, following in the footsteps of groups like the Turtle Island and Kronos string quartets by pushing the boundaries of sound with their traditional instruments and incorporating technology experimentation through looping and computer programming. Self built and fan funded, they have built a global fanbase and their music has been streamed over 25 million times worldwide. Their punchy and virtuosic sound has taken them to venues like Red Rocks and the Gorge amphitheater, but they’re equally at home in more intimate venues. They’ve supported artists from a plethora of backgrounds like EDM producer Seven Lions, ska punk legends Streetlight Manifesto, and alternative, feel good band, Sammy Rae and the Friends. ATLYS has revolutionized their paradigm, perfecting the art of remote recording, launching a YouTube channel featuring tutorials and creative, self produced music videos, and publishing their unique arrangements. Post concert, you’ll find them out by the merch table delightedly embracing and meeting fans and maybe even sharing photos of their pets.

KASA QUARTET

First Prize winner of the 2017 Coltman Chamber Music Competition, was founded in the summer of 2016 by Andy Liang, Aaron Schwartz, Stephanie Price-Wong and Kyle Price. KASA utilizes its fluency in multiple styles to curate fresh, innovative, genre-defying performances that harken the classical standard repertoire and fuse it with favorites of the jazz, musical theater, folk and pop standards. The quartet takes pride in creating and interpreting original arrangements and transcriptions of works by Jacob Collier, Marvin Hamlisch, George Gershwin among others. The ensemble has taught and performed as featured artists for the Ravinia Festival, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Austin Chamber Music Center, Second City Chamber Series, Miami Music Project, and Chamber Music Connection in addition to holding a residency each summer at the Caroga Lake Music Festival since its inception. KASA’s shared passion for bringing multiple genres together for their programming has attracted various audiences and presenters from different musical interests together for memorable performances and projects. KASA released its debut album in 2022, Forever Wild, Vol. 1 with each track featuring guest collaborations spanning a wide array of genres and styles.

Scott Greeson   |   Vickie Maris   |     Michael Kelsey

Recording artists and entertainers, Scott Greeson, Vickie Maris and Michael Kelsey, brighten a stage and the surrounding soundscape with their individual artistry. When the three perform together, they bring a unique spark of energy to the air with their songwriting, musicianship and long history of music collaboration. The trio shares music from the genres of soft pop, Americana, acoustic rock and classic rock that features Kelsey’s percussive guitar stylings, and clever lyrical improv in combination with the storytelling and groove-driving lyrics of Greeson and Maris. Add in Maris’ accordion to a few of the tunes, and their audiences are treated to a creative adventure that leaves no stones unturned.  The trio plays a range of their original music and familiar covers. They recently have played the Purdue Summer Concert Series, Marshall County Blueberry Festival, Taste of Tippecanoe, and Kelsey has returned to the area after tour stops in Ohio, Oklahoma, Utah and New Jersey where he was a part of a concert and celebration that announced the upcoming documentary about the late guitarist Michael Hedges. Greeson, Maris and Kelsey have opened for the Barefoot Movement, and are three of the four members of the Maris Greeson Project, which also includes accordionist/arranger and music educator Courtney Von Drehle. The group is a 2025 applicant for the American Music Abroad Program, hosted by the US State Department. Recordings by these artists are available in all digital locations under their individual artist names: Scott Greeson, Vickie Maris, and Michael Kelsey.
